Representatives of large oil companies BP and Shell as well as those of the environmental organizations WWF of Russia and Greenpeace formed part of the “Nature Protection” Section of the Organizing Committee at The 4th International Conference “Earth from Space – The Most Effective Solutions”.

On December 2, 2009 in the framework of the “Nature Protection” Section attendees will be able to discuss various aspects of using satellite methods for solving issues related to environmental condition monitoring and control on the basis of reliable and up-to-date space information applying an essentially different approach to the issues of the man-nature interaction. The membership of the Conference Organizing Committee included representatives of the most influential environmental organizations – Greenpeace and WWF, which are widely known for their efforts in the areas of preserving biodiversity, preventing pollution and taking countermeasures against climate changes. At the same time the Section Organizing Committee also lists representatives of the largest western oil companies Shell and BP, which are rightly recognized as the world leaders in social and environmental responsibility issues.
