“Web&GIS 2011” mini-conference to be held on December 2 in Moscow

Opening of the “Web&GIS 2011” mini-conference is to be held at 10:00, December 2, 2011 in Moscow Region “Vatutinki” resort hotel. The event is intended for a union on one platform of professionals of two information and technological industries: Internet and geoinformatics. The mini-conference agenda includes: presentations, workshops, discussions on “Spatial Data on the Internet”, “Location Based”, “Web&GIS technologies”, “Customized Web-Mapping”, “Web & GIS in Management”, “OpenStreetMap Project”.

The following speakers will deliver their presentations at the mini-conference:

etc.

Workshop on issues of user-defined web-mapping, projects where maps can be created by the participants. Presentations will be dedicated to the project of creating open map database “OpenStreetMap” and the project of Yandex company called “Peoples’ Maps”.

“Web&GIS 2011” mini-conference is arranged within the frames of the 5th International Conference “Earth from Space – the Most Effective Solutions” and to great extent is the logic development of “Images of the Earth from space and geospatial data for WEB” topic.
