In the frames of the 5th International conference "Earth from Space - the Most Effective Solutions" on November 30, 2011 from 14.30 to 16.30 Hitachi Solutions will hold "GeoPDF — Easy-to-use GIS solution" workshop.
GeoPDF is the PDF format with geospatial information, such as longitude/latitude.
GeoPDF provide more convinient and effective usage ways for GIS like:
— GIS information can be viewed without GIS softwares, only Adobe Reader is enough;
— High knowledge and skills about GIS are NOT required;
— Suitable for the offline usage.
In this workshop, Hitachi will introduce how effective GeoPDF is with case studies, and discuss the examples for applying GeoPDF in Russia through demonstrations.
